We're gearing up for a big party on December
9th. Josie has been enduring some serious challenges over the last
18 months and we all decided to bring everyone together for a fun-filled
event. This little site has lots of good information regarding the
event.
What: Joy
For Josie party to celebrate Josie's
grit and bring her community together to enjoy one another's
company
Who: Everyone! All
those folks who want to join in with us for a great time. Make certain
you bring all the kids, Goldie would be lonely with just adults!
And I can't imagine all the 40 somethings jumping on the bouncy
thingies.
Where: Christ Presbyterian
Church has generously offered to donate the use of their facility for Josie's
party - Located Northeast corner of Highway 100 and 70th Street,
Edina, Minnesota (check the map below)
When: Saturday December
9th, 2006, 5:30 - 8:00 PM
Why: Because everyone
wants to and it's a great opportunity for everyone to get together
for some fun and to share a meal. So many folks want a way to help
out and this seems like just the ticket.
Details: We'll be
serving a spaghetti dinner for
the whole family. There'll be plenty of food and tons of fun, so
don't be shy...bring your appetites and an eagerness for a great
time.
There will be entertainment
with musicians, jumpy bouncy things for the kids, big cards to sign
for Josie and a bunch of other stuff. There will be a silent
auction (so bring your bidding savvy), a bake
sale (so bring your best and take home someone else's), some
of Henry's and Josie's cards
available (who doesn't like kid-made cards?), a professional photographer
doing portrait sittings
for families or individuals, but best of all there will be lots
of people there with whom to visit, share a meal, to enjoy, and
have some good holiday cheer.
We're looking for volunteers to help as well as
donations for the silent auction
and bake sale. So if you're
interested in helping or would like to donate something to Josie's
cause please let us know.
